Park Rules

These guidelines keep Preiss Heights a safe, clean, and welcoming place for members, their families, and guests. Please review them and share with your guests.

The three-strike rule

If someone is caught breaking rules, the president will first give a verbal warning, second a written warning; on the third the board will meet to determine removal of that member for up to one year. If you are banned from the park for a year two times, you will no longer be eligible to be a park member. A member may come before the entire body of paid members to appeal.

No glass in the park — please inform all guests. First occurrence is a warning; if caught twice you'll be asked to stay out of the park for 30 days. You may keep glass containers inside your car.

Dues must be current to use the park.

Members must be with their guest(s) at all times; associate children under 18 must be with their parents.

No dogs allowed in the park on holidays or weekends between Noon and 7:00 pm, from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day.

Voting: only property owners are allowed to vote — one vote per household.

Associate members include adult children of currently paid members and renters. Members must pay dues before their associate is eligible. Associates may not vote, but are encouraged to attend meetings to keep up with rule changes.

Park hours: opens at 6:00 AM; closes at 10:00 PM weekdays and midnight on weekends, unless you've notified the president you'll be there past closing. After 10:00 PM, minors must be accompanied by their parents.

Speed limit is 5 MPH.

Pavilions 1, 2, and 3 must be reserved. Small pavilions A, B, C, and D are first come, first served.

Parties, large gatherings, and overnight camping must be approved in advance by the board or park President.

Clean up after use: trash must be removed by members upon leaving; BBQ pits must be clean of trash and ash, and pavilions cleaned with decorations removed after use.

College students living with their parents are not required to pay dues until age 24, provided they're enrolled in at least 12 hours. Be prepared to show proof of enrollment before entering the park.
